Facilities Available:
● All common diseases are treated at the outdoor on Saturdays and Sundays. Presently, about 850-900 patients are attended every month. Follow-up action and advice are also rendered to them.
● Paediatrics treatment is available with special care and concerned guardians are properly briefed regarding health-norms to be minted for their wards.
● Free medicines are supplied to all. Pathological tests, X-Ray, C.T. Scan, USG and Day-Night Oxygen are arranged at subsidised cost. Free medical advice is also given for follow-up action on the various examination reports. Specialist doctors are arranged in special cases.
Additional Arrangements:
● Arrangements have been made for a transit home at Birati near DumDum Junction to shelter patients needing treatment at Kolkata hospitals or nursing centres.
● Medical Camps on cardiac diseases, Eye-problem, Thyroid and Gynaecology problems are arranged regularly. Health Awareness Programmes including immunisation and family planning are also undertaken in the schools and the locality.
● Financial assistance to the poor but meritorious students is provided for their smooth education.
● Annual voluntary Blood Donation Camp is organised in collaboration with Government Blood Bank of Barasat.
● Winter garments are distributed each year amongst the poverty-stricken local people and new wearing apparels presented to BPL card holders on the eve of the Sharadia festival.
